Commissioned by Grizedale Arts
This work had two elements:
- An honesty box built by Juneau Projects and sited in the village of Toge in Japan. The box featured a CD of songs recorded with the villagers, alongside releases from Juneau Projects’ record label and the villagers’ produce.
- An album of songs, also featured in the honesty box, that Juneau Projects performed live in Tokyo wearing hand-painted suits.
The work was part of Grizedale Arts’ ‘Seven Samurai’ project.
