Trappenkamp
2008
Outdoor sculpture
Commissioned by Tate Britain
Produced for the Sculpture Court at Tate Britain as part of the Art Now programme, ‘Trappenkamp’ is a large scale wooden sculpture composed of a series of intricate water-jet cut wooden panels onto which moss and lichen has been encouraged to grow.
The piece is an attempt to create an accelerated ruin and the structure references the functionless concept of the Folly.
‘Trappenkamp’ has been shown also in a reconfigured format at Croft Castle in the exhibition ‘Tell it to the Trees’ organised by Meadow Arts.
